The head of the Arizona Department of Corrections is getting criticism because the department cannot seem to be able to keep the doors of prison inmates locked. Keeping an inmate in their cell would seem to be the key aspect of the job. While leaders have a host of things to attend to, any job can be distilled to a few key objectives. The situation is good reminder to focus on the few key things and not get caught up in a host of things that can just keep a leader busy. Otherwise, the inmates may be running the show.
