Walter Peyton said everything changed when Coach Mike Ditka came to Chicago and firmly stated that this Bears team was going to the Superbowl. Walter believed him and that belief pushed him and the team to think bigger and work harder. It took five years and lots of hard work, but belief was the foundation.

Leaders are always inspiring. But what are they inspiring – fear or belief?

Belief in winning will help you keep your best members on the team. Belief will get people to give their extra effort. Belief will help them see themselves and their capabilities in a bigger way.

Make an effort to communicate your belief. State what winning looks like and share your belief that together you and your team can do great things.

And if you DON’T belief it yourself, ask yourself what must be true for YOU to believe it and get working at once on those things.
