Our dog has a giant mastiff for a friend. When they meet on walks, my dog, who is about one tenth the size of her friend, will often scratch and kick up grass behind her. She only does this around her big friend. I am told the action is an instinct that dogs have to try and show how big they are.

I think she does it because she feels bigger around her big, gentle friend.

What does your presence provoke in others? Do people feel big and empowered around you or do they feel small and inferior? Do they feel optimistic and energized or do they feel a sense of fear and gloom? Great leaders put attention into their presence. It can provoke immediate benefits without a word.
