My pen ran out of ink so I went out and bought more refills. Back at my office, I realized I had bought plenty of refills the last time I ran out of ink. I had just assumed I did not have it. Why do we assume we “don’t have it?” I see too many leaders assuming they don’t have the talent, that they don’t have the skills, that they don’t have the voice, that they don’t have the influence, or that somehow it will be found out that they “don’t have it.” It is likely they do have it, but are suffering from situational amnesia.
